Description (no personal opinions):
This restaurant strives to keep in its menu a rich offer of old Croatian and Zagreb meals, most of them forgotten or not prepared in modern Croatian kitchens. The restaurant is named after a famous Zagreb actress and beauty that lived on the beginning of the last century, Ljerka Šram, who was also the subject of many poems and a novel written by a famous Croatian writer, Antun Gustav Matoš. The recepies prepared in "Lady Šram" originate mostly from cookbooks before the WW2. However, there is a fine line between the represented cuisines of Podsljeme, Prigorje and Zagorje. The interior is a faithful copy of the interiors characteristic of Zagreb at the beginning of the 20th century. The restaurant has set a goal to preserve Croatian gastronomic legacy from the northern parts of the country and to keep reminding its guests about its particular value.
